about

The original inspiration for IL DIVORATRE DI MONDI (The Worlds' eater) originates from the visualization of a Minor God who wanders from world to world, from universe to universe, riding a huge pig which feeds on these worlds until it consumes them. One of the best representations of this Parasite God, the Plague Bearer, is given to us by F.W. Murnau in (1922) with his "Nosferat". This obscure iconic ghoul’s features were confirmed by W. Herzog in (1979) with the Klaus Kinsky’s actorial performance that sweeps away any doubt and every possible intermediate interpretation due to the Hammer / Universal brand of the figure of the vampire. Despite the iconic interpretations of Cristopher Lee and Bela Lugosi, the extreme decadence of Murnau's Nosferatu, which is devoid of every kind of seductive charm, depicts an aristocracy which is displayed for what it was: the legacy of alien deities to whom the humanity is little more than a quiet meal. The stormy sea crossed in the night by a phantom vessel carrying the germ of Consumption is the perfect metaphore of the peregrination into the cosmic void, it depicts the silent but unsafe wandering into the abyss of empty black that separates one universe from another. You can figure out the Parasite’s work of destruction as to the progressive and inexorable expansion of a black hole wich devours everything, the light itself. And since the world outside of us is a matter of perception, the inexorable crumbling of a mind in agony stands for the Consumption of the universe that the mind mirrored in itself. Finally, to collect the emotions of this dying God, among the inhabitants of this mirror construct, a Prophet is born to sing his death.

lyrics

Renfield divora piccole vite

sono un respiro trattenuto, la palpebra immobile:
l’occhio che secca e muore

io sono
fiori
