LA LEGGE DI DAHMER (La Marcia Dei golem) combines two suggestions: on one side the real story of Jeffrey Dahmer who kidnapped young men and practiced a rudimentary lobotomy to make them his sexual slaves. On the other hand, the famous Chinese torture of the drop: a continuous dripping on the victim's head which slowly perforates the skull, then the brain. Very soon the victims loses his mind because of the the annoying and prolonged stimulus. As a starting point the visual suggestion comes out the iron chair on bolted to the concrete pavement depicted in Hostel (2006, E.Roth). A human being tied to a chair, made available to the sadistic whim of another man: this is the proprietary brand of the “torture porn” sub-genre which generally runs a voyeuristic approach through the use of female victims. A male victim turns theme to a political backline, in the vein of the political dystopia depicted in the movie 1984 (1984, M. Radford). As a natural evolution of the witch trials, the torture’s goal is to shape the victim’s will and his belief system to the torturer’s one. Which is the pure Dogma, the unique doctrine to follow. The best way to achieve the result is to make population an army of empty vessels: they will be filled with the master’s one will and identity. The Golem is a very antique figure out of the Jewish belief system, depicted in the movie “Der Golem/The Monser of Fate (1915, P. Wegener, H. Galeen). Here its sense is totally inverted: no more a lonely warrior but a moltitude of slaves.
